River Viaduct

To cross my river, I had to build a bridge. I modelled the bridge on River Orchy Viaduct which crosses the Orchy River on the Crianlarich to Oban line. I visited the location a couple of times to check it out and take plenty photos.

The bridge is scratch build from various plastruct lengths, beams and girders, which were painstakingly cut to size and glued together. Once complete, the bridge was painted with a Halfords green spray paint.

The bridge abutments are made from high density foam cut to shape, clad in stone plasticard/ styrene sheets and painted.

Everything is then hot glued in place before track is laid and ballasted.
