The lowest level of the layout, level 1 is to be a non scenic storage or staging yard. This level would also support the upper decks so had to be substantial. The room seemed so big at this point.
Trains will come down the helix run onto the lower yard entering bottom right, run round the room on the outer line , around the reverse loop which sits under the helix and then select a one of the storage lines ready for their next journey up the line.
